On March 13, the laboratory and the People's Government of Wuyuan County signed a technical service project agreement on the coordinated development of the Three Teas (tea culture, tea industry and tea science and technology) in Wuyuan County. Wang Qinghui, Deputy Secretary of the Wuyuan County Party Committee and County Mayor of Wuyuan, held a discussion with Wan Xiaochun, Director of the laboratory, and witnessed the signing. Xu Yihua, Deputy Secretary of the Wuyuan County Party Committee, chaired the signing ceremony, and Wan Bin, Deputy County Mayor of Wuyuan, and Zhang Xianlin, Deputy Director of the laboratory, signed on behalf of the two sides.

On behalf of the Wuyuan County Party Committee and County Government, Wang Qinghui welcomed Wan Xiaochun and his delegation to Wuyuan for cooperation and thanked Anhui Agricultural University for its strong support for Wuyuan's economic and social development, especially the development of the tea industry. Wang Qinghui said that Wuyuan is a land steeped in tea fragrance for thousands of years. The whole county is thoroughly studying and implementing the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the important requirements put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection of Wuyuan, anchoring itself to the direction of coordinated development of the Three Teas and promoting higher-quality development of the tea industry. Standing at the new starting point of the opening of the 15th Five-Year Plan, he hoped that Anhui Agricultural University and Wuyuan would further deepen cooperation, give play to their advantages in tea science, promote the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation with industrial innovation, and jointly write a splendid chapter of university-locality cooperation and mutual benefit.

Wan Xiaochun first expressed his gratitude for Wuyuan County's strong support and introduced the university's development. He said that Anhui Agricultural University's disciplinary strengths align closely with Wuyuan's development strategy, and that the two sides have a long history of cooperation and a solid foundation. He expressed the hope that, taking this signing as a new starting point and guided by the concept of coordinated Three Teas development, the two sides would focus on deep cooperation across the whole tea industry chain and create more landmark achievements. According to the project agreement, the two sides will strengthen collaboration in formulating tea industry development plans, extending the industrial chain, implementing all-region organic practices, integrating tea culture with tourism, and talent cultivation, so as to enhance the overall benefits of the tea industry.
