On May 8, Lin Zhongle, former Vice Chairman of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and President of the Cross-Strait Tea Industry Exchange Association, and his delegation visited the laboratory and held a discussion and exchange. Ni Jing, Executive Vice President of the China Tea Marketing Association; Jia Guangdong, President of the China Agricultural International Cooperation Promotion Association; and Wang Chuanyou, President of the Anhui Provincial Tea Industry Association, participated in the event. Zhang Qingliang, Party Secretary of Anhui Agricultural University, accompanied the visit, and Wan Xiaochun, Director of the laboratory, attended the discussion.

Lin Zhongle and his delegation conducted an on-site inspection of the laboratory, learning in detail about platform development, germplasm resource innovation, key research efforts and industrial services, and spoke highly of the laboratory's achievements.

Xia Tao, former President of Anhui Agricultural University and former Vice Chairman of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, delivered a welcome address, extending a welcome to the visiting guests and introducing the development of the university's tea science discipline and its industry-university-research cooperation achievements. Song Chuankui, Dean of the College of Tea Industry and Executive Deputy Director of the laboratory, introduced the laboratory's construction and operation, research directions and core achievements.

Speaking at the discussion, Wan Xiaochun noted that the laboratory is grounded in the innovation and efficient utilization of tea plant germplasm resources, focuses on tackling key industrial technologies, and has long served the upgrading of the national tea industry. Given the deep tea ties and strong complementarity across the strait, the laboratory is willing to deepen cooperation with the Cross-Strait Tea Industry Exchange Association and industry institutions, jointly carry out research on germplasm innovation, quality improvement and deep processing, strengthen talent cultivation and cultural exchange, and use the power of science and technology to promote the integrated development and common prosperity of the tea industries across the strait.

During the discussion, representatives held in-depth exchanges on topics such as germplasm resource sharing, collaborative technological innovation, talent cultivation and cross-strait tea culture exchange. Lin Zhongle said that Anhui Agricultural University has outstanding advantages in its tea science discipline and strong research strength, and expressed the hope of taking this exchange as an opportunity to deepen cooperation among tea circles across the strait, promote the deep integration of technology, talent and culture, and jointly contribute to the high-quality development of the tea industry and rural revitalization.
