To thoroughly implement the national special action plan for double-leader teacher Party branch secretaries and give full play to the exemplary role of Party building leadership, on January 16, Jiang Jiasheng, Party Secretary of the College of Tea Industry of Anhui Agricultural University, and Zhang Zhaoliang, Deputy Dean of the College of Tea Industry and Secretary of the Faculty Party Branch of the State Key Laboratory of Tea Science, led a four-member delegation to the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for cooperative exchange and to carry out a joint study and co-construction activity on Party building with the First Party Branch of the National Key Laboratory of Seed Innovation. The activity aimed to use Party building as a guide to deepen the college-institute cooperation mechanism, build a platform for the coordinated development of universities and research institutes, and jointly advance the in-depth and practical implementation of high-quality development led by Party building.

Led by Wang Jing, Director of the Party-Masses Work Department of the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, CAS; Meng Fei, Party affairs supervisor of the Party-Masses Work Department; Wang Bing, researcher and Secretary of the First Party Branch of the National Key Laboratory of Seed Innovation; and Song Xiaoguang, researcher and Deputy Secretary, Jiang Jiasheng and Zhang Zhaoliang's delegation visited the Institute's history museum and learned about the Institute's evolution and development path, and its Party building, scientific and technological innovation, reform and development achievements. The two sides then held an exchange seminar. Researcher Song Xiaoguang welcomed the delegation from the College of Tea Industry on behalf of the branch. Director Wang Jing and Secretary Jiang Jiasheng introduced the Party building and Party branch development of the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology and of the College of Tea Industry of Anhui Agricultural University respectively. Researcher Wang Bing and Professor Zhang Zhaoliang focused on the progress of the First Party Branch of the National Key Laboratory of Seed Innovation and the Faculty Party Branch of the State Key Laboratory of Tea Science in branch development, distinctive Party building activities and scientific research, and held in-depth discussions.

On the basis of these in-depth exchanges, the Faculty Party Branch of the State Key Laboratory of Tea Science and the First Party Branch of the National Key Laboratory of Seed Innovation held a signing ceremony for Party building co-construction. According to the agreement, the two sides will use Party building as a bond, integrate their respective resource advantages, and continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of their Party building work through a series of joint activities such as themed Party days, joint talent cultivation, collaborative efforts in tackling key scientific and technological problems, and Party Building and Research Experience Sharing Sessions. This signing not only built a sound platform for communication and cooperation between the Party branches of the college and the institute, but also provided a useful attempt to explore a new model of coordinated development for grassroots Party organizations. Both sides expressed the hope that through this joint study and co-construction activity they would further strengthen in-depth cooperation in branch development, talent cultivation, research cooperation, platform sharing and exchange, and achieve two-way integration, mutual promotion and common development of Party building and business work. Finally, Professor Zhang Zhaoliang gave a presentation on talent recruitment on behalf of the College of Tea Industry, introducing the college's development, teaching and research achievements and its talent recruitment policies. More than 30 teachers and students from the First Party Branch of the National Key Laboratory of Seed Innovation participated in the exchange during this co-construction activity.
