On December 23, the signing ceremony for the cooperation between the university and Anji County People's Government to build Anji White Tea Research Center and the symposium on the high-quality development of Anji white tea industry was held in Anji. Cao Haiqun, member of the Standing Committee and Vice President of the university, Wan Xiaochun, director of the State Key Laboratory of Tea Plant Biology and Resource Utilization, Song Bo, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and county governor of Anji County, and Zhu Wei, member of the Standing Committee and Minister of Organization of the county attended the signing ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Zhang Xin, deputy governor of Anji County.

Cao Haiqun pointed out that the university and the county to build the Anji white tea research center is to implement the specific practice of the important spirit of speech given by President Xi Jinping in the solid promotion of the Yangtze River Delta integrated development forum, which is a strong combination of the "key laboratory" talent science and technology advantages and "Anji white tea" industrial advantages. With Anji white tea serving as a tie, by working together and integrating resources, the two sides will jointly build a comprehensive cooperation mechanism of policy, industry, academia, research, promotion, and explore a new path to develop the "green water and green mountains is the golden mountain" concept, make every effort to create a new model of pragmatic cooperation in the new period, and highlight the points of the integrated development of Yangtze River Delta.

Wan Xiaochun pointed out that the State Key Laboratory of Tea Plant Biology and Resource Utilization of AAU has first-class R & D capabilities and equipment, rich experience in serving the tea industry, the laboratory will be in accordance with the principle of "adhere to the world's scientific and technological frontier, the main battlefield of the economy, the major needs of the country, the protection of people's life and health", assist in promoting the high-quality development of Anji white tea industry so as to provide strong science and technology and talent support to deliver benefits for people.

Cao Haiqun and Zhang Xin signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the two sides respectively. Comrades in charge of New Rural Development Institute, Tea and Food Science and Technology Institute, State Key Laboratory of Tea Plant Biology and Resource Utilization, relevant experts, Anji County Science and Technology Bureau, Agricultural and Rural Bureau and other relevant comrades participated in the above activities.
