On November 3, the 2020 National Science and Technology Awards Conference was grandly held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Our school took the lead in undertaking the "Green Tea Automatic Processing and Digital Quality Control Key Technology Equipment and Application" project completed by Professor Wan Xiaochun and Xia Tao, which won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.

   China is the largest tea-producing country in the world, and green tea is the most important tea. For a long time, the evaluation of green tea quality has relied on the senses, and the processing has relied on manual and stand-alone processing, resulting in low processing efficiency and unstable quality, which has seriously restricted the modernization level of green tea processing. Our school has cooperated with Hefei Meiya Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Shangyang Machinery Co., Ltd. and Xie Yuda Tea Co., Ltd. and other units, in accordance with the idea of "digital quality control - processing automation - technology systemization", after 14 years of research and application , deeply revealed the formation mechanism of the main flavor components of tea, and established the theoretical basis for green tea quality evaluation; innovated the digital quality control technology of green tea, created new equipment of tea quality analyzer and tea color sorter; made breakthroughs in the precise control of green tea processing temperature, continuous rolling and To solve the technical bottlenecks such as shaping, the green tea automatic processing technology system and production line have been created.

   The technology and equipment of this achievement have been extended to more than 1,200 tea enterprises in all tea-producing provinces (cities and districts) nationally, and a total of 1,270 automatic processing production lines (sets) and 1,444 sets of tea color sorters have been sold; the equipment has been exported to Vietnam, India and more than 700 sets in 10 countries including South Korea. In the past three years, the cumulative output value has increased by 4.3 billion yuan, and the new benefit has increased by 1.03 billion yuan, which has significantly improved the modernization level of green tea processing in my country and the international competitiveness of the product.

   The National Science and Technology Award is the highest award in the field of science and technology in my country, including five awards: the State's Highest Science and Technology Award, the National Natural Science Award, the National Technology Invention Award, the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and the International Science and Technology Cooperation Award of the People's Republic of China. In the past three years, our school, as the first completion unit, has won two National Science and Technology Progress Awards, ranking among the top universities in the province.
