The laboratory successful held the Third National Conference on Tea Chemistry and Health

The Third National Conference on Tea Chemistry and Health, organized by the State Key Laboratory of Tea Plant Biology and Utilization of Anhui Agricultural University, was held in Hefei, Anhui Province from September 25^th to 27^th. More than 300 representatives from over 36 research institutes and Universities attended the meeting. The conference was chaired by Professors Xiaochun Wan and Renhua Jiang.

A total of 40 academic presentations were carried out in this conference. Among then, 7 plenary speakers were Academician Zhonghua Liu from Hunan Normal University, Academician Baoguo Sun from Beijing Technology and Business University, Professor Michael C. Qian from Oregon State University, Professor Wei Bao from University of Science and Technology of China, Professor Shengmin Sang from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Professor Renhua Jiang from Tea Research Institute, CAAS, and Professor Xiaochun Wan from Anhui Agriculture University, respectively. In addition, the conference also included 20 Keynote speakers and 13 young scholar forums.

A total of 56 abstracts were received and 33 posters were displayed during the conference, covering the latest scientific research progress on tea chemistry and health. The organizing committee also set up the Young Scholars Presentation Award and Excellent Posters Award. By expert judgement, two won the first place prize, four won the second place prize and seven won the third place prize for the Young Scholars Presentation Award, and ten won the Excellent Poster Award.
