On August 11^th, Professor Chaoling Wei, executive deputy director of the laboratory, led a team to visit the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. During the visit, the two institutions jointly held the academic exchange meeting on the research progress of special economic animal and plant biology and genetic breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural areas. Renhua Jiang, director of the Tea Research Institute, attended the academic exchange meeting and delivered a speech. The academic exchange meeting was presided over by Professor Xinchao Wang, vice director of the Tea Research Institute.

Professors Chaoling Wei and Mingzhe Yao introduced scientific research, talent recruitment and achievement transformation on behalf of the two institutions, respectively.

Fourteen young scholars from both institutions reported their research progress and had in-depth discussions with the participants.

After the meeting, the laboratory team visited the National Center for Tea Quality Inspection and Testing, the Public Laboratories and the National Tea Germplasm Resource Nursery of Tea Research Institute.

Through this visiting, the relationship between the two institutions has been further promoted. The vision and the scientific research ideas have been broadened. The two institutions jointly expressed that in the future, they should continue to strengthen communication, carry out regular academic visitings, and jointly promote the development of scientific research in tea.
