On August 18, Professor Sun Baoguo, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Beijing Technology and Business University, and his party came to the laboratory for communication and research. President Xia Tao and Director Wan Xiaochun of the State Key Laboratory of Tea Plant Biology and Resource Utilization attended the symposium. The symposium was chaired by Cao Haiqun, vice president and Member of the Standing Committee of the School Party Committee.

  The university leaders warmly welcomed Academician Sun Baoguo and his entourage, and conducted in-depth exchanges on talent training, scientific research, discipline construction, platform management, and social services.   After listening to the report of the laboratory, Academician Sun Baoguo expressed his affirmation and appreciation for the laboratory's achievements in research fields such as tea plant genomics, secondary metabolism and tea chemistry, tea and health, and briefly introduced Beijing Technology and Business University in the disciplines The progress and effectiveness of construction, scientific research platform construction, talent training, scientific and technological innovation, etc.. He put forward suggestions and directions for the relevant scientific research platforms and discipline construction of AAU.
