The State Key Laboratory of Tea Plant Biology and Utilization is based on the National Key Discipline (cultivation) of Anhui Agricultural University. This discipline, formerly known as the Tea Specialization Department of Fudan University College of Agriculture, is the cradle of tea science discipline in China and has been selected as one of the world class disciplines in Anhui Province. At present, the laboratory focuses on four main research directions: physiological ecology and germplasm innovation of tea tree, secondary metabolism and quality chemistry of tea tree, health function and mechanism of action of tea, and quality safety and processing utilization of tea.
The laboratory has, 1) first-class scientific research conditions: the total area of scientific research rooms is 12,000 m2, the original value of instruments and equipment is more than 100 million yuan, forming eight technical platforms such as tea tree biotechnology and protein analysis, separation and structure identification, cell analysis, physiology and nutrition, metabolomics, experimental animals, quality control and quality and safety testing; 2) first-class scientific research team: the laboratory has 67 scientific researchers, including 27 professors, 28 returnees and 20 doctoral supervisors. A multidisciplinary research team has been formed, and has been approved as the first batch of provincial science and technology innovation team in Anhui Province, Anhui Province 115 industrial innovation team, "the province's top ten excellent industrial innovation team", the fifth "National Advanced Collective of Professional and Technical Talents". In 2016, the tea chemistry and health team of the laboratory was approved as a joint laboratory for international cooperation. The laboratory was approved for the 2020 "Innovation and Intellectual Introduction Program for Higher Education Institutions". The laboratory is becoming an important research base of tea discipline in China, a place where outstanding scientific and technological talents gather and a base for cultivating high-level talents in tea science.
Due to the work needs, talents and postdocs are openly recruited and imported.

II. Postdoctoral application
(1) Requirements
1. A strong interest in tea research, a sense of commitment and responsibility, strong scientific research ability, teamwork spirit.
2. Hold a doctorate degree in a field related to the research direction of the key laboratory; age should generally be below 35 years old.
3. Published academic papers or achieved high-level academic results in SCI, EI and other academic journals with the first author.
4. Good English listening and speaking skills, proficient in reading professional literature and strong writing skills in Chinese and English.
5. Be able to carry out academic research in this lab on a full-time basis.
(2) Job duties
1. Complete the research work assigned by the cooperative supervisor or independently undertake the relevant topics.
2. Assist subject leader in subject and lab management.
(3) Salary and Treatment
1. Salary: annual salary of 180,000-300,000 RMB, depending on the academic performance during the PhD; Extra bonus is granted to University Outstanding postdoctoral fellows.
2. Those with outstanding performance during the station may be given priority to be hired as fixed researchers on the staff of the key laboratory.
3. Title declaration: Postdoctoral researchers who have not obtained professional and technical positions can apply to participate in the evaluation of the corresponding professional and technical positions organized by the university.
4. Housing: The university provides housing for postdoctoral researchers in the postdoctoral apartment during the two-year period, and the rent and utilities are in accordance with the relevant regulations of the university.
5. Household registration: Postdoctoral fellows can apply for settling in our university during their stay, and their spouses and minor children can apply for temporary residence if they flow with the postdoc. The university will assist in solving the work of the spouse and schooling of the children.
