1.      Fill out the Application Form

Please download and fill out the Application Form for Postdoctoral Applicants in AHAU (which could be found in the Postdoctoral Mobile Research Station Column of the Personnel Department website, that is, http://rsc.ahau.edu.cn/bshz/jzzn/index.asp), mail the printed form to your cooperation mentor or corresponding mobile research station, fill out the Assessment Form for Postdoctoral Applicants in AHAU after your assessment defense, and hand the forms over to Mr. Ren Jiandong of the Personnel Department (Room 343, Administrative Building).

2.      Sign Working Agreement

Applicants are needed to sign the working agreement with AHAU.

3.      Entry Application

Please log on the Chinese Postdoctor website (www.chinapostdoctor.org.cn) to register, submit your materials, print three copies of all the required materials online after being checked, and hand them over to Ren Jiandong of the Personnel Department. All required materials are listed below:

a)        postdoctoral application form

b)        reference letters from two experts

c)        postdoctoral entry checking form

d)       academic department feedback form

e)        passport, copy of academic certificate and copy of diploma

4.      Materials for Working Permits in China after Receiving the Entry Approval

a)         working agreement (Chinese version and version of the foreign language, both with parties’ signatures and the seal if necessary)

b)        personal resume (both Chinese version and version of the foreign language)

c)         scanning copy and translated copy of your latest academic certificate

d)        physical examination form required by Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs (to check the attachment for details)

e)         scanning copy of your passport (Entourage’s scanning copy of passports are also required if you are accompanied by them.)

f)         overseas address and telephone number

g)        electronic version of certificate photo

h)        invitation letter sealed by your university (to check the attachment for the specific form)

i)          application form for working permit (to check the attachment for details).

5.      Working Visa Transaction

Working Permit for Foreign Experts in China and Authorized Organization Visa Notification will be mailed to the applicants for postdoctoral stations by AHAU after transaction. Please go to Chinese Embassy or Chinese Consulate stationed abroad to transact your working visas, carrying your valid passport and the above-mentioned materials together with you.

6.      Health Certificate, Foreign Expert Certificate and Residence Permit Transaction 

After you enter the mobile station, Foreign Affairs Department of AHAU will be of great assistance for the transaction of your Health Certificate from certain hospital, Foreign Expert Certificate from Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs in Anhui Province, and Residence Permit from Entry and Exit Administration Bureau.

a)        Health Certificate transaction

The applicants should finish the Health Certificate transaction at Entry and Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Anhui Province within ten days after entering China with the following materials:

1)        the original copy of passport

2)        the original copy of the applicants’ physical examination records including physical examination forms, X-ray image, ECG image, blood check report, etc.

3)        two personal photos of two inches without hats (if you will have the whole physical examination at the center, you should take the required photos right there at the center)

4)        the same materials and procedures which are required for those accompanying family members’ health certificates but it is not necessary for the family members less than eighteen years in age to have their health certificates

b)        Foreign Expert Certificate transaction

With Health Certificate, the applicants should finish the Foreign Expert Certificate transaction at Foreign Affairs Office of Anhui Province within fifteen days after entering China with the following materials:

1)        the original copy of passport

2)        the original copy of Health Certificate

3)        one personal photo of two inches without hats

4)        the stub of Permit to Work in China

5)        working agreement or contract

6)        one personal photo of two inches without hats, and the original copy of passport and Health Certificate which are required for accompanying family members to have their foreign expert certificates

c)        Residence Permit transaction at the Entry and Exit Administration Bureau of Hefei City

With Health Certificate and Foreign Expert Certificate, the applicants and accompanying family members should finish their Residence Permits at Entry and Exit Administration Office of Hefei Public Security Bureau within thirty days after entering China with the following materials:

1)        passport and the copy

2)        one personal photo of two inches without hats

3)        Health Certificate and its copy;

4)        Foreign Expert Certificate and its copy;

5)        record of work unit’s application for Residence Permit

6)        Residence Certificate for Foreigners stamped by local police station to which work units belongs

7)        the same materials which are required for the accompanying family members to have their residence permits
